JOB SUMMARY:

The facilities manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications and maintenance, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. Leads our talented team of project leads, mechanics and facility technicians to deliver all aspects of the facility function.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Works very closely with production supervisor, leads & planner.
  • Design, plan, & maintain equipment/equipment needs, machinery, building and general facility.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules modifications, maintenance and labor needs to implement new projects.
  • Ownership for plant layout for all production areas.
  • Making sure 5S and other lean manufacturing practices are in place and followed.
  • Maintaining shop floor and tools and holding technicians responsible for cleaning up work areas.
  • Implementing and maintaining FOD control program.
  • Provide input for hiring, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and promotion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Directly reports from Purchasing Manager, Shipping/Receiving
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Business, Project Management degree or
  • Associate's degree or 2 years of college/university coursework AND 2 years of relevant work experience, or
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 5-8 years of new product development experience.
  • Previous experience managing and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Technical background, with ability to think strategically, understand market dynamics and consumer/customer insights and leverage them into new product concepts.
  • Strong planning, prioritization and project management competencies.
  • Understanding of product margins/financials and significant analytical ability.
  • Ability to excel in a team atmosphere of creativity, risk taking and delivering results.
  • Ability to meet strict and demanding deadlines.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; AutoCAD.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain US DoD Clearance.
  • Ability to meet International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
