The production manager is responsible for making sure the production floor creates or meets expected production timelines, maintains, and meets or exceeds the company's Quality Policy, and gets shipments out safely packed and on-time. Production manager is also responsible for managing and leading the team of technicians, in addition to coordinating with engineering and the project review board to execute approved projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the production, assembly, and integration of iCPV's, other parts and products.
  • Manage technician team and all parts of the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure all production personnel are following production processes, fully utilizing the E2 ERP System correctly and efficiently.
  • Create and maintain build schedules that list all discrete fabrication and assembly tasks. Ensure that all parts are fabricated, assembled, and/or purchased at the correct time to facilitate the build schedules.
  • Resolve, analyze, and solve manufacturing discrepancies, while interfacing with the quality team (resolving issues for design, fabrication, and assembly).
  • Coordinate with engineering to develop production procedures/processes and manage the transition of parts and assemblies from development to high flow rate production.
  • Lead process improvement projects to continuously enhance production operations on the shop floor.
  • Ensure a strong focus is placed on safety and achieve excellent safety performance with the team.
  • Use quality metrics to continually improve the quality output of the manufacturing team; Play a leading role in ensuring root causes for quality issues are identified and appropriate improvement actions are put in place.
  • Review work instructions and make change recommendations when needed to improve processes.
  • Meet tight production schedules to achieve high-rate production.
  • Responsible for assessing, staffing, and vetting the appropriate skillset needed.
  • Achieve cost targets by improving labor efficiency and driving design for manufacturability improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for training improvements and coordinate with technical training team to develop new hire and advanced skill training programs.
  • Develop, initiate, and enforce system policies and procedures.
  • Monitor labor hours and overtime and implement improvement plans and time management with staff.
  • Capacity planning of equipment and personnel.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to minimize production interruptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. or A.S. Degree, or 2 years of college/university coursework with 2-5 years of composite manufacturing and/or production management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience managing and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Technical background, with ability to think strategically, understand market dynamics and consumer/customer insights and leverage them into new product concepts.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and project management competencies.
  • Understanding of product margins/financials and significant analytical ability.
  • Ability to excel in a team atmosphere of creativity, risk taking and delivering results.
  • Ability to meet strict and demanding deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; willingness to learn G-Suite.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain US DoD Clearance.
  • Ability to meet International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
