Responsible for running the analysis on designs (equipment, parts, products, etc.) to make sure designs meet customer, industry or internal certification/requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Finite element modeling of composite and metallic parts and structures.
  • Collaborate with design engineers for optimal load path development.
  • Perform stress analysis.
  • Design criteria development.
  • Develop FEM models for load cycles.
  • Perform detail static load analysis using classical hand analysis or FEM.
  • Stacking sequence/laminate analysis.
  • Calculate margins on all structures.
  • Support drawing analysis review and sign-off.
  • Document results in analysis reports.
  • Present results at PDR/CDR meetings and Internal Design Reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to Compliance Engineer
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering degree, or
  • Associate's degree or 2 years of college/university coursework AND 2 years of relevant work experience, or
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of new product development experience.
  • Demonstrated success analyzing parts and products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Technical background, with ability to think strategically, and meet consumer/customer product stress requirements and analysis.
  • Strong planning, prioritization and project management competencies.
  • Understanding of product margins and significant analytical ability.
  • Ability to excel in a team atmosphere of creativity, risk taking and delivering results.
  • Ability to meet strict and demanding deadlines.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; willingness to learn G-Suite.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain US DoD Clearance.
  • Ability to meet International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
